Regular Season Round 15: Mitsubishi K. - Chanson V-M 57-61

The game in Nagoya was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Chanson V-M (12-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Mitsubishi K. (8-7). Chanson V-M managed to secure a 4-point victory 61-57 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 61-57. Chanson V-M looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for international forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) who led her team to a victory scoring 10 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. International center Miyuki Kawamura (183-94) helped adding 16 points. The best for the losing side was international forward Nemoto Yo (173-95) with 20 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Yuka Kosuge (180-91) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Chanson V-M. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Denso Iris. Mitsubishi K. lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Toyota B SR. Chanson V-M will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mitsubishi K. will play again against Chanson V-M (#4) in Shizuoka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
