The game in Torun was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked AZS UMCS (7-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Energa Torun (5-5). AZS UMCS defeated Energa Torun 74-63. It looked good early as Energa Torun took a 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then AZS UMCS had a 29-10 second period charge getting the lead and Energa Torun was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-74. It was a good game for American guard Feyonda Fitzgerald (170-95, college: Temple) who led her team to a victory with 20 points and 9 assists. Nigerian forward Uju Ugoka (185-93, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Two Points) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American center Kelley Cain (198-89, college: Tennessee) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and international Agnieszka Skobel (180-89) added 11 points in the effort for Energa Torun. AZS UMCS have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with CCC Polkowice. Energa Torun at the other side dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. AZS UMCS's next round opponent will be TS Ostrovia (#10) in Ostrow Wlkp. where they are favorite. Energa Torun will play on the road against AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski in Gorzow Wlkp. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
