Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Zaragoza (4-7) was rolled over at home by eighth ranked Unicaja Malaga (6-5) 102-77 on Sunday. The game without a history. Unicaja Malaga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Unicaja Malaga had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. It was a great evening for Serbian point guard Nemanja Nedovic (191-91, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 5 assists. Point guard Alberto Diaz (188-94) helped adding 8 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Unicaja Malaga players scored in double figures. Polish swingman Michal Michalak (197-93) responded with 17 points and American guard Gary Neal (193-84, college: Towson) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Unicaja Malaga maintains eighth place with 6-5 record, which they share with Iberostar Tener. Zaragoza lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with seven games lost. Unicaja Malaga will face CB Canarias (#8) in Tenerife in the next round. Zaragoza will play on the road against Joventut (#15) in Badalona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
