Regular Season Round 11: MuKi - Aalto-Basket 80-78

Eleventh-ranked Aalto-Basket (1-10) made lots of trouble for second ranked MuKi (10-1) in Helsinki on Sunday. MuKi managed to secure only two-point victory 80-78. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a great evening for guard Robin Avist (190-0) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. American swingman Calvin Ward-III (188, college: Missouri Valley) helped adding 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four MuKi players scored in double figures. MuKi's coach used entire bench in such tough game. Atte Lohman responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and guard Rasmus Roslund (192-88) scored 18 points and 4 assists. MuKi maintains second place in Division with 10-1 record having just two points less than leader HBA-Marsky. Newly promoted Aalto-Basket keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. MuKi will meet Espoo Basket (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aalto-Basket will play against JyWe and hope to win that game.
