Regular Season Round 13: Bernau - Itzehoe 75-95

Very important is a home loss of third ranked SSV Lok Bernau (8-5) against ninth ranked Itzehoe (6-7) on Sunday night. Host SSV Lok Bernau was crushed by Itzehoe in Bernau 95-75. Itzehoe outrebounded SSV Lok Bernau 46-26 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Kaimyn Pruitt (203-90, college: Adams St., agency: Aspire Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 29 points, 20 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and British-Australian point guard Joshua Wilcher (178-91, college: Cent.Wyoming) accounted for 23 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Point guard Bennet Hundt (181-98, college: High School) came up with 18 points and 7 assists and center Jonas Boehm (204-87, college: Campbellsville) added 17 points respectively for SSV Lok Bernau in the defeat. Four SSV Lok Bernau players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Itzehoe moved-up to eighth place in North, which they share with Oldenburg. Loser SSV Lok Bernau keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Wolfenbuettel. Itzehoe will meet at home higher ranked Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SSV Lok Bernau will play against Oldenburg and hope to secure a win.
