Regular Season Round 19: Toros - Abejas 91-88

The most exciting game of round 19 in the LNBP took place in Nuevo Laredo. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Abejas (8-9) to seventh ranked Toros (7-10) 91-88 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Abejas. Toros looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Brandon Swannegan (206-93, college: Tulsa) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. American-Puerto Rican point guard Wilfredo Pagan (184-76) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. Naturalized American Eder Zuniga (190-87, college: Carroll, MT) produced 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Steven Pledger (193-90, college: Oklahoma) added 24 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Toros maintains seventh place with 7-10 record, which they share with Aaguacateros and Santos. Abejas at the other side keep the sixth position with nine games lost. Toros is again looking forward to face higher ranked Abejas (#6) in Guanajuato in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Abejas will have a break next round.
