Regular Season Round 13: Borea - Sigal Prishtina 64-110

Liga e pare top team - Sigal Prishtina (12-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Borea (2-11) in Peja 110-64. Sigal Prishtina dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Borea's 40. Sigal Prishtina forced 24 Borea turnovers and outrebounded them 48-34 including 34 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 41 assists comparing to just 21 passes made by Borea's players. The former international forward Granit Rugova (198-85, college: Trinity Valley CC) nailed 31 points and 5 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winning side and forward Muhamedali Janjeva (200-98) accounted for 14 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Sigal Prishtina players scored in double figures. Sami Hajzeri (193-92) came up with 19 points and 6 rebounds and forward Blendi Matoshi (196-94) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Borea in the defeat. Borea's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Sigal Prishtina have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-0 record. Borea lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Sigal Prishtina will play against Rahoveci (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Borea will play against Xhebrailat (#4) in Therande and hopes to get back on the winning track.
