Not a big story in a game in Beijing where 20th ranked Bayi Rockets (1-16) were defeated by twelfth ranked Fly Dragons (9-8) 91-84 on Saturday. Fly Dragons made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game, while Bayi Rockets only scored nine points from the stripe. Bayi Rockets were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds. Center Zheng Wang (216-90) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Fly Dragons' coach Dragan Raca allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. International guard Lei Meng (193-95) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and guard Yuxiang Tian (185-92) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Four Fly Dragons and five Bayi Rockets players scored in double figures. Fly Dragons moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Guangzhou LL. Loser Bayi Rockets stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Fly Dragons will face league's leader Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in Hangzhou in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bayi Rockets will play on the road against Beijing Ducks (#8) and hope to win that game.
