Regular Season Round 12: Norrort - KFUM Central 92-83

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Taby Basket (7-3) defeated at home 7th ranked KFUM Central (5-5) 92-83 on Saturday. They outrebounded KFUM Central 44-33 including 30 on the defensive glass. Taby Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for center Marcus Friman (203-95) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard David Niklasson (193-95, college: N.Platte CC) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Binyam Yigzaw (186-91) replied with 25 points and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and guard Nils Hedstrom (190-83) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for KFUM Central. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Taby Basket moved-up to third place, which they share with Nacka Basket and Hammarby. Loser KFUM Central keeps the seventh position with five games lost. Taby Basket will face KFUM Lidingo (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. KFUM Central will play against Sundsvall and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
