Regular Season Round 14: Salzkotten - Hagen BG 75-83

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Salzkotten (6-9) lost at home to sixth ranked Hagen BG (10-5) 83-75 on Saturday. American David Golembiowski (203-89, college: SUNY Poly) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 7 rebounds. Bulgarian guard Milen Zahariev (190-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Center Thomas Stukenberg (206-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and power forward Eike-Simon Kerfs (202-95) added 14 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Salzkotten. Five Hagen BG and four Salzkotten players scored in double figures. Salzkotten's coach Stefan Schettke rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Hagen BG moved-up to fifth place in West. Loser Salzkotten keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Hagen BG will face Ibbenbueren (#7) at home in the next round. Salzkotten will play against Bonn II and hope to win that game.
