Regular Season Round 22: CDU Catolica - CD Castro 116-92

An interesting game for Universidad Catolica (12-11) which hosted in Santiago 4th ranked CD Castro (8-15). Fourth ranked Universidad Catolica had an easy win 116-92. Universidad Catolica dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to CD Castro's 46. Universidad Catolica players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American forward Aaron Nelson (203-91, college: S.Indiana) had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Malik Morgan (193-94, college: Tulane) chipped in 24 points, 8 assists and 4 steals (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side American-Puerto Rican guard Wil Martinez (188-92, college: Fairmont St.) responded with 36 points (!!!) and American forward Rakim Brown (198-91, college: Humboldt St.) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Five Universidad Catolica and four CD Castro players scored in double figures. CD Castro's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Universidad Catolica moved-up to second place, which they share with CDU Concepcion. CD Castro at the other side keeps the fourth position with 15 games lost. Universidad Catolica will again play against CD Castro (#4) at home in the next round. CD Castro will have a break next round.
