There was no surprise when 8th ranked Topstar (5-8) lost to fourth ranked Vilsbiburg (11-2) in Diedorf 78-92 on Saturday. Topstar was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman Kendall Timmons (195-90, college: Tulane) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds. British forward Joshua Guddemi (201-94, college: New Haven) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Vilsbiburg's coach Holger Prote used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guard Jonathan Genck (185-86) replied with 18 points and 5 assists and naturalized American forward Dominik Veney (198-87) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Topstar. Vilsbiburg keeps a position of South-East leader, which they share with Oberhaching. Loser Topstar keeps the eighth place with eight games lost.
