It looked good early as Craiova took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then UBT Cluj Napoca had a 27-19 second period charge getting the lead and Craiova was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 94-105. It was a good game for Croatian forward Zeljko Sakic (204-88, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). American-Liberian guard Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: Connecticut) contributed with 25 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four UBT Cluj Napoca players scored in double figures. American forward Jamar Samuels (200-89, college: Kansas St., agency: HMS) answered with 26 points and 9 rebounds and Montenegrin point guard Goran Martinic (187-87) added 25 points, 7 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Craiova. Craiova's coach Rami Hadar rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Craiova at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. UBT Cluj Napoca's next round opponent will be Phoenix Galati (#6) at home. Craiova will play against the league's leader BC Timisoara and hope to win that game.
