Regular Season Round 22: Puente Alto - Las Animas 101-110

Liga Nacional top team - Las Animas (19-4) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Puente Alto (10-13) 110-101. Puente Alto was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American forward Brandon Robinson (198-89, college: Clayton St.) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Colombian-Venezuelan power forward Luis Julio (201-80) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Five Las Animas players scored in double figures. American swingman OLouis McCullough (198-82, college: Francis Marion) replied with a double-double by scoring 47 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Jerome Hill (198-94, college: Gardner-Webb) added 19 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Puente Alto. Las Animas maintains first position with 19-4 record. Loser Puente Alto keeps the fifth place with 13 games lost. Las Animas will have a break next round. Puente Alto will play again at home against the league's leader Las Animas (#1) and hope to win that game.
