The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Flying Leopards) loss. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions smashed 15th ranked Brave Dragons in Hangzhou 133-113. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Brave Dragons. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to Brave Dragons' 66 and made 27-of-29 charity shots (93.1 percent) during the game. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions forced 25 Brave Dragons turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Brave Dragons were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas, agency: 3Eye) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 7 steals. International center Jinqiu Hu (208-97) contributed with 37 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 16-of-19 shooting from the field) for the winners. American point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma) answered with 38 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Argentinian-Spanish power forward Luis Scola (206-80) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Brave Dragons. Four Zhejiang Guangsha Lions and five Brave Dragons players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 3 other teams. Brave Dragons at the other side keep the fifteenth place with 11 games lost. Brave Dragons will play next round against strong Jiangsu Dragons trying to get back on the winning streak.
