Very expected game when 9th ranked AIK Basket (2-9) lost on the road to fourth ranked Telge (7-5) 85-73 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Telge especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. The winners were led by American guard Tayler Mingo (170-92, college: Wright St., agency: ProDep Management) who scored that evening 28 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import guard Taylor Wurtz (183-90, college: Wisconsin) supported her with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Four Telge players scored in double figures. Even 19 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) by American center Janel McCarville (188-82, college: Minnesota) did not help to save the game for AIK Basket. Guard Ozlem Alkan (172-90) added 12 points and 6 rebounds. Telge maintains fourth position with 7-5 record. Newly promoted AIK Basket keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. Telge will meet at home Mark (#8) in the next round. AIK Basket will play against KFUM Uppsala and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
