The most exciting game of round 10 in the Winner League took place in Jerusalem. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponent Hapoel Holon (7-3) to third ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (7-3) 88-86 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Hapoel Holon. The hosts trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 21-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American Jerome Dyson (191-87, college: Connecticut) scored 29 points to lead the charge for the winners and Dominican-American forward Ronald Roberts (203-91, college: St.Joseph's, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 14 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. Hapoel Jerusalem's coach Modi Maor used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American swingman Glen Rice Jr. (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) responded with 36 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Tashawn Thomas (203-93, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Hapoel Holon. Hapoel Jerusalem is looking forward to face Maccabi Haifa (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Hapoel Holon will play against Ironi Nahariya (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
