Regular Season Round 22: Abejas - Fuerza Regia 83-114

Leader Fuerza Regia delivered the fourteenth victory. This time they crushed 9th ranked Abejas (8-12) 114-83 in Guanajuato. Fuerza Regia shot 60.6 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 19 long-distance shots on high 59.4 percentage. Fuerza Regia players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Abejas' players. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Juan Toscano (198-93, college: Marquette, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 31 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) contributed with 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. Fuerza Regia's coach Paco Olmos felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Tomas Sanchez (190, college: Idaho St.) replied with 28 points and forward Juan-Luis Ramirez (196-91) added 19 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Abejas. Fuerza Regia maintains first position with 14-6 record. Abejas lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 12 games lost. Fuerza Regia will play against Panteras (#10) in Aguascalientes in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Abejas will have a break next round.
