Rather expected game in Manama where 10th ranked Al-Bahrain (4-10) was defeated by seventh ranked Al-Najma (9-5) 78-67. It was a good game for American forward Haminn Quaintance (203-85, college: Kent St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. Mohammed Bullay contributed with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Merrill Holden (203-93, college: Iowa St., agency: SDJ Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and Khalid Ali added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Al-Bahrain. Al-Najma have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Al-Hala. Al-Bahrain at the other side keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Al-Najma will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al-Bahrain will play at home against Al-Muharraq (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
