A very close game took place in Ramat Hen between Maccabi Ramat Gan and Elitzur Ramla. Fourth ranked Maccabi Ramat Gan (7-4) got a very close home victory over 6th ranked Elitzur Ramla (6-5). Maccabi Ramat Gan managed to escape with a 2-point win 54-52 on Monday evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Nia Coffey (185-95, college: Northwestern, agency: LBM Management) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds. The former international point guard Shiran Tzairi (166-86, agency: Blue and White) chipped in 15 points. Kenyan-Canadian power forward Adut Bulgak (193-92, college: Florida St., agency: ProDep Management) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and American point guard Sydney Carter (170-90, college: Texas A&M) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Maccabi Ramat Gan moved-up to third place, which they share with Maccabi Raanana. Newly promoted Elitzur Ramla dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Ramat Hasharon. Maccabi Ramat Gan will meet bottom-ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Elitzur Ramla will play against B.Yehuda (#9) and hope to secure a win.
