Rather expected game when 12th ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (2-8) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Maccabi Raanana (4-6) 85-75. Maccabi Raanana made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Hapoel Kfar Saba's players. It was a very good performance for American forward Samme Givens (198-89, college: Drexel) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Michael Brisker (183-98) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Maccabi Raanana's coach Barak Peleg allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Byron Wesley (196-92, college: Gonzaga, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Eitan Rotemberg (198-91) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Hapoel Kfar Saba.
