Regular Season Round 10: Hapoel B/S - Elitzur Yavne 80-72

Not a big story in a game in Beer Sheva where 10th ranked Elitzur Yavne (3-7) was defeated by eighth ranked Hapoel B/S (6-4) 80-72. Hapoel B/S players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a very good performance for American guard Andell Cumberbatch (196-93, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Or Solomon (202-93) contributed with 7 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Hapoel B/S players scored in double figures. Hapoel B/S's coach Yaniv Burger allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American center DeAngelo Riley (206-88, college: Azusa Pacific) replied with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks and his fellow American import power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) added 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Elitzur Yavne. Hapoel B/S have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Elitzur K-A and Hap.Haifa. Newly promoted Elitzur Yavne keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. Hapoel B/S's next round opponent will be Ironi Kiryat Ata (#5) on the road. Elitzur Yavne will play against Hap.Haifa (#7) and hope to win that game.
