An interesting game was also surprising home defeat of 4th ranked Capitanes in a game in Mexico versus Aaguacateros (#7) 79-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Capitanes. It was an exceptional evening for American Dominic McGuire (206-85, college: Fresno St.) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Dominican guard Juan Coronado (193-83) accounted for 17 points and 5 assists for the winning side. American-Puerto Rican forward Emmanuel Andujar (198-93, college: Manhattan) came up with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Hector Hernandez (205-85, college: Fresno St., agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Capitanes in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aaguacateros (10-11) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Santos. Newly promoted Capitanes keep the fourth position with eight games lost. Aaguacateros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Capitanes will play again against Aaguacateros (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
