A very interesting game took place in Malaga. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 13th ranked Italian Armani Milano (4-10) to eleventh ranked Spanish Unicaja Malaga (6-8) 74-71 on Friday evening. Armani Milano was ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 39-29 second half run of Unicaja Malaga. They made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. American Jeffrey Brooks (203-89, college: Penn St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Serbian point guard Nemanja Nedovic (191-91, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 15 points for the winners. American guard Andrew Goudelock (190-88, college: Charleston) replied with 18 points and American-FYR Macedonian point guard Jordan Theodore (182-89, college: Seton Hall) added 14 points and 5 assists in the effort for Armani Milano. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Unicaja Malaga have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Brose Bask. Armani Milano at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Unicaja Malaga's next round opponent will be higher ranked Maccabi T-A (#6) in Tel-Aviv and it may be quite challenging game. Armani Milano will play at home against Crvena Zvezda (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
