Very expected game when 13th ranked ALM Evreux (3-8) lost at home to ninth ranked SPO Rouen (6-5) 88-74 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by SPO Rouen. ALM Evreux was better in third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded ALM Evreux 41-28 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. American Amin Stevens (203-90, college: Florida A&M) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. Nigerian-British guard Obi Emegano (190-93, college: ORU) contributed with 22 points for the winners. DR Congolese-Belgian power forward Ruphin Kayembe (200-92) answered with 21 points and American guard Caleb Walker (194-89, college: Nebraska) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for ALM Evreux. Five SPO Rouen and four ALM Evreux players scored in double figures. SPO Rouen moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Caen. Loser ALM Evreux dropped to the fourteenth position with eight games lost. SPO Rouen will face JA Vichy (#10) on the road in the next round. ALM Evreux will play against the league's leader Entente Orleans 45 (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
