Important game to mention about took place in Doha. Fourth ranked Al Sadd (5-3) saved a 2-point derby victory on the road edging 8th ranked Al Ahli (1-7) 101-99 on Saturday evening. Al Sadd made 23-of-28 charity shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 28 Al Ahli turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Al Ahli was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American Julius Coles (193-89, college: Canisius) stepped up and scored 31 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import guard Dee Oldham (193-94, college: Chattanooga) chipped in 23 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals.
