Important game to mention about took place in Petkim. Seventeenth ranked Socar Petkim (3-12) saved a 1-point victory at home edging higher ranked Akhisar Bld (7-8) 77-76 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Socar Petkim players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for Bulgarian power forward Kaloyan Ivanov (205-86, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds. Efekan Cosar (195-94) helped adding 17 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Bosnian power forward Kenan Bajramovic (206-81) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Cagdas Erdogan (188-88) scored 12 points and 8 assists. Four Akhisar Bld players scored in double figures. Socar Petkim maintains seventeenth place with 3-12 record. Akhisar Bld at the other side dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Duzce Bld. and Bakirkoy. Socar Petkim will play against higher ranked Acibadem (#8) in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Akhisar Bld will play at home against Samsun and hopes to get back on the winning track.
