Regular Season Round 15: Battipaglia - Roma Luiss 86-79

There was an upset when higher ranked Roma Luiss (10-5) lost on the road to fifteenth ranked Battipaglia (3-11) 86-79 on Saturday. It was a good game for forward Fabio Cuccarese (198-96, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Simon Anumba (191-96) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Eugenio Beretta (208-96) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and guard Andrea Scuderi (188-92, agency: Players Group) added 18 points and 4 assists in the effort for Roma Luiss. Five Battipaglia and four Roma Luiss players scored in double figures. Roma Luiss' coach Andrea Paccarie tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Battipaglia moved-up to thirteenth place in B. Loser Roma Luiss dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Battipaglia will face higher ranked Salerno (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Roma Luiss will play against Venafro and hope to win that game.
