Regular Season Round 13: Forli - Orvieto 53-65

Very predictable result when sixth ranked Orvieto (7-5) defeated on the road 14th ranked Forli (1-11) 65-53. Orvieto made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for power forward Giorgia Manfrc (183-92) who helped to win the game recording 8 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Anna Bambini (177-99) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Benedetta Gramaccioni (171-98) answered with 20 points and 4 assists and guard Martina Zampiga (180-98) added 4 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Forli. Forli's coach Andrea Castelli tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Orvieto maintains sixth place in A2 with 7-5 record. Newly promoted Forli dropped to the fifteenth position with 11 games lost. Orvieto's next round opponent will be league's leader Empoli at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Forli will play against Civitanova (#9) in Civitanova Marche and hope to win that game.
