Regular Season Round 10: BC Timisoara - Craiova 107-95

Leader BC Timisoara delivered the eighth victory. This time they beat 8th ranked Craiova (4-6) 107-95. It looked good early as Craiova took a 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then BC Timisoara had a 29-20 second period charge getting the lead and Craiova was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 95-107. They outrebounded Craiova 35-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. BC Timisoara players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Octavian Calota (189-84) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Montenegrin power forward Milos Komatina (206-84) contributed with 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four BC Timisoara players scored in double figures. Montenegrin point guard Goran Martinic (187-87) replied with 23 points and 6 assists and Croatian swingman Ivan Siriscevic (198-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 22 points in the effort for Craiova. Craiova's coach Rami Hadar rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. BC Timisoara have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-2 record. Craiova lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with six games lost. BC Timisoara will play against UBT Cluj Napoca (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Craiova will play against Phoenix Galati (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
