Regular Season Round 12: Roanne - Saint-Chamond 69-72

The most exciting game of round 12 in the ProB took place in Roanne. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Chorale de Roanne (9-3) to fifth ranked Saint Chamond (9-3) 72-69 in the game for the third place. Chorale de Roanne was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 23-18 charge of Saint Chamond, which allowed them to win the game. Saint Chamond had a 35-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Ron Anderson (205-89, college: S.Florida, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds and Jonathan Hoyaux (195-88) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American swingman Jason Williams (198-83, college: UTEP) with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Kenyan forward Robert Nyakundi (203-89, college: SMU) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Chorale de Roanne's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Saint Chamond have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Roanne and Blois. Saint Chamond is looking forward to face JA Vichy (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Chorale de Roanne will play against Sluc Nancy (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
