Regular Season Round 12: Boras - BC Lulea 62-69

An interesting game for BC Lulea (10-2) which played road game in Boras against one of their biggest challengers Boras Basket (7-5). First ranked BC Lulea managed to get a 7-point victory 69-62. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international Anton Saks (201-89, agency: Interperformances) who added 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four BC Lulea players scored in double figures. BC Lulea's coach Peter Oqvist allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Brett Bisping (203-93, college: Siena, agency: Duran International) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and Icelandic point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) scored 16 points. BC Lulea have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 10-2 record. Boras Basket at the other side dropped to the second place with five games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. BC Lulea will play against league's second-placed KFUM Jamtland in Ostersund in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Boras Basket will play on the road against Norrkoping Dolphins and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
