Regular Season Round 25: Fuerza Regia - Santos 92-64

Leader Fuerza Regia delivered the seventeenth win on Friday night. This time they crushed 8th ranked Santos (10-13) 92-64 in Monterrey. Strangely Santos outrebounded Fuerza Regia 37-24 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) fired 29 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. International forward Juan Toscano (198-93, college: Marquette, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 assists and 4 steals. Four Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. American-Dominican Antonio Pena (204-86, college: Villanova) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Irwin Avalos (201, college: Dallas Baptist) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fuerza Regia (17-6) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place. Santos at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Aaguacateros. Fuerza Regia are again looking forward to face Santos (#8) in San Luis Potosi in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Santos will have a break next round.
