Regular Season Round 15: Avila - Plasencia 78-66

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (8-7) beat 12th ranked Plasencia (6-9) in Avila 78-66 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Fontedoso Carrefour. Plasencia was better in third quarter 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American forward Kyle Hittle (196-94, college: Incarnate Word, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who led his team to a victory with 27 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Forward Jon Aramburu (204-92, agency: Duran International) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Aramburu is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Fontedoso Carrefour's coach Sergio Jimenez used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Adrian Fuentes (183-87) answered with 21 points and 4 assists and point guard Miguel Martinez (183-95) added 17 points in the effort for Plasencia. Fontedoso Carrefour moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Navarra. Newly promoted Plasencia dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Fontedoso Carrefour will face league's second-placed L'Hospitalet at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Plasencia will play against Navarra (#8) in Pamplona and hope to win that game.
