Very expected game in Lugo where 13th ranked Leyma Basquet (6-9) was defeated by first ranked Leche Rio Breogan (14-2) 84-73 on Saturday. The game without a history. Leche Rio Breogan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Matt Stainbrook (208-92, college: Xavier, agency: 3Eye) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Cristian Diaz (185-92) who added 18 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Leche Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. At the losing side Danish forward Jonathan Gilling (203-91, college: Arizona St.) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Russian power forward Dmitriy Flis (204-84) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leche Rio Breogan have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-2 record. Leyma Basquet at the other side keeps the thirteenth place with nine games lost. Leche Rio Breogan will face Oviedo CB (#4) on the road in the next round. Leyma Basquet will play against Cocinas.com (#16) and hope to win that game.
