Regular Season Round 13: Melbourne - Dandenong 80-45

Date: December 30, 2017
Fourth ranked Boomers (12-9) crushed at home 6th ranked Dandenong Rangers (7-14) by 35 points 80-45, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. Boomers had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Dandenong Rangers' players. The former international center Elizabeth Cambage (203-91) stepped up and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and American guard Brittany Smart (175-85, college: Cedarville) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side power forward Carley Mijovic (196-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Kayla Pederson (193-89, college: Stanford, agency: LBM Management) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Boomers maintains fourth place with 12-9 record. Dandenong Rangers lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 14 games lost.
