The game in David supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Correcaminos (6-4) played at the court of 5th ranked Toros (4-6). Correcaminos smashed Toros 97-56 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Toros 52-41 including a 39-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Correcaminos looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Toros' players. Naturalized American forward Tyler Gaskins (193-92, college: St.Peter's) scored 25 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Isaac StRose (190-83, college: John Brown) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side naturalized American Antonio Bumpus (192-89, college: Cumberlands) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Joel Munoz (183-80) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Correcaminos have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 6-4 record behind leader Caballos. Loser Toros keep the fifth place with six games lost. Correcaminos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toros will play again against the league's second-placed Correcaminos (#2) and hope to secure a win.
