An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Stockholm. Third ranked Alvik Basket faced one of their biggest challengers Telge. Host Alvik Basket (10-2) defeated guests from Telge (7-6) 89-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Telge. They outrebounded Telge 56-29 including a 24-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Alvik Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Paula Juhlin (184-91) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. The former international forward Elin Ljunggren (185-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Tayler Mingo (170-92, college: Wright St., agency: ProDep Management) produced 23 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and her fellow American import guard Taylor Wurtz (183-90, college: Wisconsin) added 19 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Alvik Basket and four Telge players scored in double figures. Alvik Basket have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-2 record having just three points less than leader Lulea Basket. Telge at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Alvik Basket are looking forward to face Mark (#7) in Kinna in the next round. Telge will play at home against the league's leader Lulea Basket and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
