Regular Season Round 25: Silute - Telsiai 80-71

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Telsiai (13-12) was defeated on the road by third ranked Silute (18-7) 80-71. Silute players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Justas Nausedas (193-92) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Andrius Globys (198-95) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Erikas Kubilius (194-95) answered with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Mantvydas Staselis (189-94) added 16 points in the effort for Telsiai. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Silute maintains third place with 18-7 record having four points less than leader Vytis. Telsiai at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Silute will play against Jonava (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Telsiai will play against Zalgiris II and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
