Regular Season Round 15: Fraport SKY II - FC Bayern II 58-81

There was a minor upset in Frankfurt where 6th ranked Fraport Skyliners II (8-7) was crushed by ninth ranked FC Bayern II (6-8) 81-58 on Saturday. FC Bayern II made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 30 Fraport Skyliners II turnovers. The best player for the winners was Karim Jallow (199-97) who scored 28 points and 6 rebounds (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). Guard Georg Beyschlag (182-97) chipped in 21 points, 5 assists and 6 steals. FC Bayern II's coach Oliver Kostic felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Alex Fountain (201-95, college: Houston Baptist) who recorded 17 points and center Cosmo Gruehn (204-98) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. FC Bayern II have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain ninth place in South with 6-8 record. Loser Fraport Skyliners II keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. FC Bayern II will face higher ranked Titans (#7) in Dresden in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
