Regular Season Round 18: Obradoiro II - Naron 73-67

Everything could happen in Santiago de Comp at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Obradoiro II and 14th ranked Naron had identical 5-9 record. This time Obradoiro II used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Naron 73-67 on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 20-6 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Obradoiro II dominated on the defensive end, holding Naron to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Naron 41-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for Miguel Picallo who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Juan Castro contributed with 16 points for the winners. Obradoiro II's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Obradoiro II (6-9) moved-up to eleventh place in Group A-B, which they share with COB. Loser Naron keeps the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Obradoiro II will face COB (#12) in Ourense in the next round. Naron will play on the road against Venta de Banos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
