Very expected game when 11th ranked MMCITE Brno (5-11) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Basketbal Svitavy (9-7) 98-73. Basketbal Svitavy players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Quite impressive performance for international swingman Simon Pursl (203-97, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Naturalized Slovakian point guard Roman Marko (193-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 assists for the winners. Croatian center Mladen Primorac (210-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) replied with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Kevin Mays (193-92, college: CSU Bakersfield) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for MMCITE Brno. Five Basketbal Svitavy and four MMCITE Brno players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Basketbal Svitavy maintains fourth position with 9-7 record, which they share with Usti n/Labem. MMCITE Brno at the other side dropped to the tenth place with 11 games lost. Basketbal Svitavy's next round opponent will be BK Kolin (#7) on the road. MMCITE Brno will play against USK Praha and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
