Regular Season Round 25: Puerto Montt - CDU Catolica 81-100

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Universidad Catolica (14-13) crushed on the road 6th ranked Puerto Montt (8-19) 100-81 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Universidad Catolica. Puerto Montt was better in second period 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Universidad Catolica shot 33 for 46 from the free-throw line, while Puerto Montt only scored eleven points from the stripe. Puerto Montt was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American forward Aaron Nelson (203-91, college: S.Indiana) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Malik Morgan (193-94, college: Tulane) contributed with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Charles Rosemberg answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Jay Hook (193-93, college: Tulane) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Puerto Montt. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Universidad Catolica moved-up to second place. Puerto Montt lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 19 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
