Regular Season Round 18: Biofarm PZN - Kotwica 85-81

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Poznan where 11th ranked Kotwica (7-10) was defeated by twelfth ranked Biofarm PZN (7-9) 85-81 on Saturday. Biofarm PZN looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Filip Struski (200-94) scored 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Adam Metelski (206-83, college: Cal-Irvine) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Daniel Grujic (201-90, agency: Alti Sport) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Maciej Zmudzki (206-97, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Kotwica players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Biofarm PZN moved-up to eighth place. Loser Kotwica dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Biofarm PZN will face higher ranked R8 Krakow (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kotwica will play against SKK Siedlce (#14) and hope to win that game.
