Very important is a road loss of third ranked L'Hospitalet (11-5) against seventh ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (9-7) on Saturday night. Visiting L'Hospitalet was defeated by Fontedoso Carrefour in a tough game in Avila 66-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of L'Hospitalet. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-12. But L'Hospitalet won second period 14-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded L'Hospitalet 41-19 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by forward Jon Aramburu (204-92, agency: Duran International) who scored that evening 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and naturalized Brazilian center Sidnei De-Santana (216-83, agency: Duran International) supported him with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Aramburu is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Fontedoso Carrefour's coach Sergio Jimenez allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 14 points by Georgian center Shota Gelazonia (205-94) did not help to save the game for L'Hospitalet. American guard Devin Schmidt (193, college: Delta St.) added 11 points for lost side. Five L'Hospitalet players scored in double figures. Fontedoso Carrefour moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Navarra. L'Hospitalet at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Lucentum. Fontedoso Carrefour will play against league's leader La Roda on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. L'Hospitalet will play against Navarra and hopes to get back on the winning track.
