Regular Season Round 18: Gimle BBK - Centrum 82-57

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Gimle BBK (12-9) crushed bottom-ranked Centrum (1-18) in Bergen 82-57 on Sunday. The game without a history. Gimle BBK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Gimle BBK forced 28 Centrum turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Centrum helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American forward Lorenzo Cugini (198-93, college: High Point) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Magne Fivelstad (198-89, college: Barry) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Gimle BBK's coach Audun Eskeland felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Marcus Larsson (204-99) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds and guard Johan Flaa (183-99) added 14 points in the effort for Centrum. Gimle BBK have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-9 record having three points less than leader Asker Aliens. Centrum lost ninth consecutive game. Defending champion stay dead last with 18 lost games. Gimle BBK are looking forward to face league's second-placed Kongsberg at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Centrum will play against the league's leader Asker Aliens (#1) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
