Regular Season Round 18: Pielagos - Burgos 81-70

Very expected game when 9th ranked Burgos (7-9) lost to fifth ranked Pielagos (11-4) in Renedo de Pielagos 70-81 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 18 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 11 points. It was a good game for American guard Ron Lee (188, college: Cent.Methodist) who led his team to a victory with 30 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Brais Gago (180-96) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Estonian Robert Valge (192-97) replied with 19 points and center Txomin Lopez (204-78) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Burgos. Pielagos moved-up to third place in Group A-A, which they share with Santurtzi and Easo. Loser Burgos dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Pielagos will face Valladolid Univ. (#7) at home in the next round. Burgos will play against Mondragon and hope to win that game.
