Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Reggio Emilia (3-13) was edged on the road by fifth ranked Vicenza (10-6) 110-109 on Sunday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Vicenza looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Reggio Emilia was plagued by 36 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for forward Andrea Campiello (200-87) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Daniele Demartini (184-84, agency: Players Group) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Guard Enrico Germani (198-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Jordan Losi (182-80) added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Reggio Emilia. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Reggio Emilia's coach Riccardo Eliantonio tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Vicenza maintains fifth position in B with 10-6 record. Reggio Emilia lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth place with 13 games lost. Vicenza will face Rimini (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Reggio Emilia will play against Faenza and hope to win that game.
