Regular Season Round 11: Fubon Braves - Taiwan Beer 73-77

An interesting game was also surprising home defeat of 4th ranked Fubon Braves in a game versus Taiwan Beer (#7) 77-73. It was an exceptional evening for Canadian center Liam McMorrow (218-87, college: Tenn Tech, agency: Duran International) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. The former international swingman Chi-Min Lu (193-89) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. American center Garret Siler (213-86, college: Augusta) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks and the former international point guard Chih-Shan Hung (176-85) added 24 points and 4 assists respectively for Fubon Braves in the defeat. Four Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Taiwan Beer maintains seventh place with 5-9 record. Loser Fubon Braves keep the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Dacin Tigers. Taiwan Beer will meet higher ranked Yulon Luxgen (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fubon Braves will play against the league's leader Bank of Taiwan and will have a slim chance for a victory.
