Regular Season Round 18: Valle de Egues - Ardoi 75-74

Important game to mention about took place in Olaz. Thirteenth ranked Valle de Egues (5-10) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 10th ranked Ardoi (5-10) 75-74 in the game for the tenth place. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-13. But Ardoi won second period 19-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for Ivorian power forward Kouassi Konan (204-91) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Fernando Santesteban contributed with 14 points for the winners. Naturalized Ukrainian forward Anton Savitski (196-86) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and guard Ignacio Urtasun (187-80) added 19 points in the effort for Ardoi. Four Ardoi players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Valle de Egues moved-up to tenth place in Group A-A, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Ardoi. Ardoi lost fourth consecutive game. Valle de Egues will face league's leader Estela in Santander in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
